1. Who this notice covers
This notice explains how Wallpaper Masters Pty Ltd, ABN 25 491 108 839 (“Wallpaper Masters”, “we”, “us”), handles personal information in the wallpaper try-on service. It should be read with the Try-On Terms.
Contact us at wallpapermaster1@gmail.com, by phone on 0413 547 040, or at 1 Vinegar Hill Road, Kellyville Ridge NSW 2155.
2. Information we collect
Account and consent information
- your Google account identifier, name, email address and profile image made available through Google sign-in;
- the version and time of your required Terms and Privacy acceptance; and
- your separate marketing and research choices, including changes or withdrawal times.
Try-on information
- the wallpaper pattern you select, generation time, attempt count, result status and technical security information;
- your resized room image and generated result while the request is being processed;
- every successful generated result in a private administrator archive, and a separate account-gallery copy when you explicitly save it;
- service diagnostics needed to detect abuse, investigate errors and protect the site.
Optional preference-research information
If you actively select the research option, you may provide a room type. This is optional. We do not collect an age range, region or homeowner/renter relationship for preference research, and we do not request the try-on to identify you from an image or infer health, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, political views or other sensitive traits.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- authenticate your account, record required consent and enforce the 20-image account allowance for non-admin accounts;
- generate the requested preview, maintain the private generation archive and display your private saved gallery;
- record which patterns are selected so we can understand service demand and improve the catalogue;
- protect the service, prevent duplicate accounts or misuse, and diagnose failures;
- analyse the room type with saved previews and pattern preferences only while your optional research consent is active; and
- send occasional pattern announcements or advice only while your optional marketing consent is active.
We do not sell your personal information. Marketing and research consent are not required to use the try-on and begin unchecked.
4. Image processing and retention
Before upload, the website resizes your room photo to at most 1600 pixels, limits the processed file to approximately 2.5 MB and redraws it through the browser canvas. This removes embedded EXIF metadata such as camera details and any stored GPS field. You should still check what is visibly shown in the room.
The resized room image and selected pattern are sent transiently to Google Gemini for the current request, and the generated result is returned to your browser. To preserve your selection through the Google sign-in redirect, the resized room image and selected-pattern data may be stored locally in private browser storage on your device for up to 30 minutes. This browser draft is deleted after generation, sign-out or expiry and is not uploaded to Wallpaper Masters merely because it was drafted. The original room upload is not stored as a separate Wallpaper Masters file after processing. However, the generated result—which can still show the room and visible people or possessions—is stored in a private administrator archive until account deletion, subject to any narrow legal, security or dispute-retention need.
If you select Save to My Gallery, a separate account-linked copy is made available in your private gallery until you delete it or request account deletion. Deleting a gallery item removes that account-gallery copy; the administrator archive remains until account deletion. The original room photo is not placed in your gallery.
Generated results, consent records, generated-image counts, selected-pattern metadata, room-type preference events and limited security records remain linked to your account while it is active so we can operate and evidence the service, support customers, respect withdrawals, prevent abuse and understand catalogue demand. They are removed from active storage when the account is deleted; encrypted infrastructure backups may take up to 30 days to expire. Research use of room type stops when research consent is withdrawn. Statistics that have already been aggregated so they no longer identify an account may be retained for catalogue planning.
5. Providers and data location
We use service providers for defined operational purposes, including:
- Google for Google account sign-in and Google Gemini image processing;
- Netlify for site hosting, Netlify Identity, serverless and background functions, private object storage and security controls;
- Resend for commercial email delivery when optional marketing consent is active; and
- Netlify Database infrastructure for account-linked consent, the 20-image allowance, gallery metadata and room-type preference records.
Our current Netlify function region is in the United States, so room images and related service data may transit or be processed there. Google, Netlify and their subprocessors may also process information in Australia or other countries where they operate. Their own legal and security obligations can affect processing and retention. We limit information sent to what is needed for the relevant function and do not put saved gallery images in a public catalogue.
6. Access controls and security
Try-on APIs require an authenticated account. Gallery records and image content are checked against the signed-in account before access. The generation archive, account list, marketing-consent status and campaign controls require a server-verified email in the administrator table. Hiding or changing a browser button does not grant administrator access.
We use measures such as the account image allowance, input limits, private storage, access checks and audit metadata. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
7. Your choices and requests
You can:
- leave marketing and preference research unchecked and still use the try-on;
- change or withdraw either optional choice in the try-on account area;
- delete individual saved previews from your private gallery (this does not delete the administrator archive);
- ask for access to or correction of personal information we hold about you; and
- request account and saved-gallery deletion, subject to any information we must retain for legal, security or dispute purposes.
Send a request to wallpapermaster1@gmail.com. We may need to verify that the request relates to your account. Every commercial email includes a direct unsubscribe link, and the latest preference is checked before a campaign is sent.
8. Questions and complaints
Contact us first if you have a privacy question or complaint so we can investigate and respond. If you remain dissatisfied, you may have the right to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
We may update this notice when the service, providers or legal requirements change. A material new use may require an updated notice and new acceptance or consent.
